- Das Antiquarium wurde ab 1568 zur Aufnahme der herzoglichen Antikensammlung im Erdgeschoss und Bibliothek im Obergeschoss als Erweiterung der Münchner Residenz errichtet und das Erdgeschoss wenig später zu einem Festsaal umgestaltet.
